We're building Desert Biodiversity to help people explore, respect and defend our irreplaceable desert biodiversity.
And yet the deserts' biological diversity is a blind spot for many environmental groups. There are several groups with desert agendas, and some of them are fine indeed, but none work on all living things throughout the desert.
We intend to speak for desert biodiversity, bringing wildlife biologists and other scientists together with concerned members of the public. We'll advocate for protection of desert species and their habitats when necessary. Most importantly, we'll celebrate those species and habitats and share new information about them with you.
As we build this site, and the network of people that goes with it, we will be adding more and more material to different sections of the site. You'll have opportunities to contribute time, energy and a bit of cash not far down the road. In the meantime, we'd be very appreciative if you'd share this site with those you feel might be interested.
For the deserts;
Chris Clarke
